The Stand and Lost

There has been lots of theories put forth about Stephen King's "The Stand" and its relation to Lost. It has supposedly been stated that a copy of "The Stand" never leaves the Lost writer's room. I saw "The Stand" miniseries on tv a long time ago and I remember liking it. However, I don't remember all the ins and outs of the story or characters. So yesterday I bought the book at Borders and have begun to read. I will periodically update you on my findings that are pertinent to Lost fans.
